Rural Development Hubs in New York

Aspen CSG partners with Rural Development Hubs across the country to strengthen local leadership, align funding, and build regional capacity. Through research and peer learning, we support Hub leaders to refine strategies and apply what works across regions.

In New York, we work with Hub partners that coordinate across sectors, align resources, and connect communities to advance long-term regional strategies:

Adirondack Community Foundation

Adirondack Community Foundation is stewarding a new vision and a plan to connect residents. Acting as the connective tissue among neighbors, the Lake Placid, NY-based foundation is taking a thoughtful, community-centered approach to address economic distress, poverty, and displacement. In its 27-year history, the foundation has distributed more than $72 million back to the community to build new childcare, address domestic violence and homelessness, improve access to community college and trades programs, and supply food and fuel to households.

Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation

The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation is a 20-year limited-life foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities founder Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. loved and called home – Southeast Michigan and Western New York. Their strategic investments are guided by community voice, powered by strong partnerships, and rooted in a commitment to inspire and drive meaningful change beyond our closing in 2035.

Heron Foundation

The Heron Foundation champions the people who believe profoundly in the promise of their community and who dare to chase the shared dreams for the place they call home. They work directly with local organizations that are embedded in, deeply trusted by, and inherently driven by the voice and vision of their neighbors. Heron invests in their know-how, skills, and determination to build a community that reflects and honors the dignity of all and where prosperity is shared.
