The Kids Are Online is a project of Aspen Digital, a future-focused policy program of the Aspen Institute that works to ensure technology serves an informed, just, and equitable world. The site highlights real-life examples of diverse communities—urban and rural—coming together to close the digital divide for young people. From California State University’s efforts to extend affordable Internet access in rural areas to New York coding camps that empower youth with STEM and workforce skills, these stories show the creativity and momentum behind community-driven solutions. By lifting up these examples, Aspen Digital provides both inspiration and a framework that aligns closely with Aspen CSG’s commitment to community-rooted strategies that advance equity and opportunity.
