The OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities (CFE) works with local and national governments to unlock the potential of entrepreneurs, small businesses, and regional economies. Through comparative data, analysis, policy advice, and capacity building, the Centre helps advance inclusive growth, create quality jobs, and strengthen resilience in both urban and rural areas. Its work spans multiple networks and initiatives, from the Rural Policy Working Party to the Local Development Forum, and includes applied research through the Spatial Productivity Lab and the OECD Trento Centre. By promoting place-based strategies and supporting local leadership, the CFE’s agenda resonates with Aspen CSG’s commitment to Rural Development Hubs—demonstrating how global policy expertise and local action can come together to build equitable and sustainable prosperity.
