REDEFINED

Redefined is a storytelling initiative from the West Virginia Community Development Hub that showcases how local residents are reshaping the narrative of their state. Through videos and case studies, it highlights grassroots creativity in places like Princeton’s Mercer Street district, neighborhood revitalization in Clarksburg’s Monticello community, the enduring commitment of The Welch News, the boundary-crossing spirit of the Vintage Theatre Company, and Hinton’s people-powered approach to rebuilding its economy. These stories demonstrate how West Virginians are leading change by redefining creativity, media, neighborhoods, community, and local economies on their own terms. The approach echoes Aspen CSG’s belief that rural prosperity begins with residents defining their own future, telling their own stories, and leading transformation from within.
